Hucu.ai has 3 packages. the package that you are interested in at the basic level to be able to communicate freely with all your patients in a HIPAA compliant manner, is free forever. Now, if in the future, you would want to use hucu capabilities where there’s real-time patient risk stratifications, acuity scoring, or robotic process automation, or you would need deep analytics about how your organization is collaborating internally and externally, then you would need to upgrade to a paid version of Hucu.ai to get all those sophisticated capabilities.
The only way you can be HIPAA compliant is where you have a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with the technology provider. This ensures that the technology you are using to communicate with patients resides in the technology that you have a BAA with. Without a BAA, you cannot use a technology to store or move patient information on digitally. That’s why iMessage, SMS text, & WhatsApp are all not HIPAA compliant; because you do not sign a BAA with those companies.
